Crazy Good! April 14, 2009 T. Leaf 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I have always been a fan of Reggae sounds and bands like Sublime and Pepper that add rock influence as well. I have used the Amazon sample system to find new bands and Rebelution was at the top of my list of findings! Great, clean, feel good sound and best of all this is one of those classic CD's that you can play all the way through without skipping any tracks. I have a feeling this will be my "go to album" for this next summer. Sample this, i'm sure you will love it too.
Great Vibes April 4, 2008 A. Goforth (San Diego, CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This band has amazing talent. This album is great! All the songs are worth listening to. I have seem them live at Canes, in San Diego, CA several times and they sounds just as good as they do on the album, if not better. Buy this CD you won't be dissapointed. Peace, Love and Happiness to all!
WOW - This is awesome - I'm not even a Reggae fan May 2, 2008 Audrey (Canada) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Awesome stuff - this has not been marketed properly. These guys are relatively unknown and they are absolutely tremendous musicians. If you like great grooves and a high recording quality then get this. No need to be a reggae fan to enjoy this, One of the rare albums where EVERY track is just great. I am so happy to find an album where every track is so good. I like good drumming - big band, funk, jazz, rock and some pop - you will enjoy this guarenteed. This is refreshing stuff - think Santana, Red Hot Chilli Peppers in reggae mode....
Addicted July 7, 2008 J. Richuso (Chapel Hill, NC) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am addicted to Rebelution. All it took was one preview, and I purchased the album without knowing anything about the band. This album has ruled my car's CD player, and my iTunes playlist for the last few months. Upbeat, feel-good reggae with catchy melodies and good harmonies. "Safe and Sound," "Ordinary Girl," and "Attention Span" stand out for me.
It's A Pleasure To Meet You! December 4, 2009 J-Train 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love reggae so much that it might be hard to take any reggae review from me seriously. I tend to give a lot of 5 star reviews for anything reggae related because this genre of music is a treasure in my life.
Make no mistake, Rebelution is awesome! The songs hook you and make you feel that good vibe, but the music being played by this band is simply amazing to listen to. I just can't get enough of hearing them. Quality music, very fun and enjoyable to hear. Plus this band is outstanding to see live. They are terrific. I think they are so much better than Sublime or any other band they are compared to. They stand alone.
I enjoy this album, the positive message it sends and the way it sounds played very loud in my car, or very softly as I go to sleep. We have three kids ages 9, 7 and 6 and they love this stuff too! You can hear them in the room singing Rebelution songs, they go crazy when it's on in the car. It's something we can all agree on!
This album is an instant classic, one of the top ranked albums I own. I don't think you need to be a huge reggae fan in order to appreciate this band.... but being a huge reggae fan is an award in itself, so you should listen to more of it... and you should start right here with Courage To Grow.
Awesome band, awesome album. You can't go wrong. Get it!
